Honestly, I don't know how any of these items were made and still don't. The people that were into all of this were great programmers and crackers.

I was just a kid playing a video game we really loved.

I always thought the people selling items on eBay were blizz employees trying to make a buck. Only got patched when other people found out. And blizz doesn’t assume it’s an inside job.
I highly doubt that group of blizz nerds would let some d2 loser make bank on their shit
