assa instead of max 9 frame trap laying speed (original d2) can now have 5 frame trap laying speed in d2r
so almost twice as fast

No build even will be able to stack high enough to hit most of the important high frames is my bet and ones that can could use buff anyways or won’t matter too much but it will be interesting to see if something can become far more powerful with new frame limits

maybe true for bowazon
absolutely not true for sins
you could easily reach in very simple gear the max trap laying speed without particularly building for IAS WITH FADE, not even burst of speed
now you uild for ias, use burst of speed, assa even more broken than it was before

AFAIK he initially made it turn based, but then tested out action based and then it all "clicked" for him. It was much better, and he and the team stuck with it. During his GDC talk, he mentioned something about hitting the skeleton

And I've watched about every interview he has done so..

Yes but the aftermath is not relevant to how they got there. He worked against getting to that point, while everyone else agreed it should be real time. Whether or not he agrees with the team after it's implemented isnt relevant to what I said initially, which is that if he got his way, D2 would have been a turn based piece of shit.

Ok show the direct timestamp in a video, or an article (with his quote) saying he worked AGAINST action combat.

lol wut.. find it yourself. Watch post mortem of D2 he gives a speech and talks about it. I'm not about to rewatch some speech to find a timestamp because you've never heard him or the other creators discussing the development of the game.

it took 2 seconds for me to google it.

which if you dont want to watch a video states pretty clearly what Brevik said

As Brevik explains, it came down to a simple show of hands in the office at the end of a long week. Brevik and perhaps two or three others wanted to keep the game turn-based, and more than a dozen others voted to convert the title into a real-time game.

When you tell your boss you think its a bad idea then vote against something that everyone else on your team votes for, you are by definition "working against action combat"
