it's not really the same. while yeah there's an aspect of exclusivity to being in a jsp dclone group, anyone can register on the site and look for one, this effort is public even. no one in particular has to be in charge of a group either.
on the other hand popular streamers can leverage their viewership to spawn their own groups and gobble available sojs at their whim. suddenly the criteria to organize hunts isn't that you're a well-informed d2 player, it's that you have a viewership base of d2r players large enough to get started. so basically a handful of people who might not even be d2 players can easily control a big portion of the game's economy.
