You exceeded the 8 KB limit for your character file. Over a decade ago this would cause the game to crash when loading in a character over 8 KB limit, so a check was applied to remove any items that went over.

Avoid holding many 1 slot item with a lot of prefixes/suffixes like crafted or rare amulet/rings/etc. on a single character personal stash/inventory/cube. It's easier to achieve more than 8 KB on D2R because of the bigger personal stash.

Shared stash wasnt an issue in this scenario.. it was only character inventory. so there is no confusion
