according to research done in another post, the IP shown with tcpview and netstat is just some middleman google cloud server so it doesn't help you find dwalk games

untrue. This is the method the streamer used and method people have been using recently.

D2R is supposedly in the top 5 most popular internet cafe games in Korea lately. But if you look at Twitch, you'll see that most streamers are on SP or private games with a few friends.

(obviously not a blizz employee but...) I wouldn't think so, since A) it is directly from Microsoft and B ) it is completely external to the game, doesn't interact with D2R at all. It checks your active in/outgoing connections.

which I suppose is why they did this in asia

sucks. instead of actual players pooling resources it's now the 1% popular enough on social media to solicit sojs.

d2r is for us 30 y/o boomers so if this shit keeps up and a bunch of twitch streamers control the economy the game is going to die quick
