The turn based stuff was him testing combat during development..

You just need to play d2r for the nostalgic factor. It's a great looking D2 remake. I'd say take each charclass through hell and be done with it. As I see it, there is no point gearing up for PvP. No more wsg'ing to escape stunlocks, namelock is weird, autoaim on skills like charge are completely broken when playing with a controller (it's basicly full screen autoaim). Just don't take it too seriously. The fun is to be had in the journey not in the destination.
Many of you guys need to get off this forum, just play an untwinked character from normal to hell instead of trade trade trade for some virtual coins. Lot of you make diablo feel like a job.

And no the turn based stuff not not "him testing stuff during combat" it was to be the foundation of gameplay. He and the other creators have said this openly many times. It won't be hard to find.
