Are there scenarios where it would be worth it to hunt for XP shrine in cold plains or stony fields before the run?

Probably not since curses are too common?

IMO there is never a scenario other if you have people actively finding exp shrines for you.
Every 4.3 unique monster on average has the curse modifer. Though you can often one-shot them before they get to curse you.

How do you convince people to follow around for hours just hunting exp shrines for you?

Pay or have a group that helps you to push for ladder ranking.

Was worth it as whenever they found one I was able to TP out go to a1 grab the shrine, hit a monster there and return to my own tp again without losing shrine, other than a couple of instances in A3, because there is a further distance to run from WP to TP.
