On a side note, you would be surprised how many people botted the HC during Season 1. At some point I started to assemble a list. Many people running one or two bots, then some running 10+.

Yeah I have a slight estimate how it looks. This guy in particular that we are discussing is single handedly trashing the ladder.

He’s trashing the ladder for people that engage with him. You’re comparing your experience to those around you which is a one-way ticket to Sadtown.

I play like you do. Every ladder I start fresh and hardly spend on gear. I like farming and finding stuff and flipping it. I also have FG that 13 year old me would be baffled by, so why do we need more?

Its not all about making coins. Its about one guy printing all the end-game items in hundreds, killing the motivation to play the game, because how hard to try and how much effort you put into this game - You wont find anything that isnt already printed in hundreds on the market. And ofcourse (the majority) of people dont mind having a healthy economy. High tier items shouldnt sell for cheap, which is exactly whats happening here.

Yeah, there are two kinds of JSP-users, the ones who uses jsp for the convenience of trading, or the clowns that needs this kind of gold sellers to be able to play the game. You just outed yourself. You should probably stick to SC my dude.

having the same problem.. botters taking away all the fun. jsp wont do shit against the obv botters because there just is no way to prove it.
Having thought about this came up with this:
Build a group of trusted "ethical" players and trade only with people in this group. (You can do this by creating a guild in jsp, lets call it "Ethical Gaming" for this example)
You obv need a certain ruleset to implement this. It could look sth like this:
-A new member in the guild has to meet certain criteria to join the guild. (e.g. certain Join-Date, no suspicous Trading in the past etc.)
-A member of "Ethical Gaming" who is getting caught of buying "outside" is being kicked of the guild (Problem is that they can buy non public via pm. Solution: People of "outside" get 200fg for proving someone of "Ethical Gaming" bought their stuff)
-If you are a member of "Ethical Gaming" and want to sell sth just put the tag "Ethical Gaming" in your thread
-If you are a member of "Ethical Gaming" and want to buy sth just search for "Ethical Gaming"
-If a member of "Ethical Gaming" shows suspicous Trading there can be a poll wether they should be kicked or not

This idea obv only works with enough members of "Ethical Gaming" (you could launch it as soon as you hit 200+ members or sth.)and there are also some other problems which you have to think about. But as a vague sketch sth like this could work i think :)

No reason why a botter couldn't join such a group.

I don't see the point here. This situation has been going on for decades now and the person you are accusing is just 1 of many ppl to do it.
The best season for D2R was the first one, after that it was doomed to go downhill.

I actually have mad respect for the people still playing the old d2, offering 1fg items and bumping their threads for days, not getting a single offer on their item.

if you bot and want to make big profit, people instantly notice it and you get kicked?

If you dont see the problem with setting up hundreds of bots, printing high runes and tc87s out of his ass, killing the economy/market in days... I dont really know what to tell you man.

How often do you hear people say "Back in the days when i played vanilla d2, the market was really great. It was so enjoying when my hrs sold for 4 fgs, every single baalrun was ran by bots. There was no one to play with, because all were bots"... Literally 99% are referring to this as a total disaster and d2r is heading right down this shithole.
