Yes they could release the game with missing character content, but to me thats more heinous to leave out than the ladder and its respectable but overpowered runewords. Nec was a crucial character to the game, and the alpha files at least show that it's playable even if it's not complete.

The outcry of millions alone should be enough of a reason, but yet here we are with no ladder. As long as Nec is playable in Singleplayer, I am OK with no ladder for the time being. I draw the line at no nec at day 1 release, but that's just me personally.

there is also the widescreen issue and the beta being an actual alpha. the list keeps growing and we aren't even close to the launch yet. the list will increase until then. this release is going to be a major fuck up like wc3r and starcraft remake

Well I'm under the assumptions those will be fixed by release, but you are right if they don't address those either. Still, it looks promising even if there are delays. Then it's left to us to just wait a while longer.

my point didn't come across. right now they are developing the game. if we wait until they launch the game, it is too late to fix major fuck ups. starcraft remake and wc3r are proof for that.

our friends from the us need to complain and get across our arguments from jsp to the official forums

Let's also remember the Vicarious Visions did successfully rerelease THPS1&2 & Crash Bandicoot. This is the real test, but unlike the other companies, VV has had a decent track record thus far.

did they have blizzard behind their previous releases? i'm not saying they are incapable or stupid. but the current trend speaks strongly against them.
