Who confirmed it was better than 2 griefs? Our working theory is that it's the same as having 2. And if you had broken grief it should be as if you had 2x beasts here right?

I sold my second grief as soon as I ran the test on page 1, but I think it'd be worth testing with a lot of runs against a high HP boss (Baal?) on P8 solo to really separate out if theres a difference between dual Vs. single + broken. I think P1 Diablo had too little health to get a meaningful difference in kill time (hence 8 seconds and 8 seconds, whereas P8 Baal might be 30s & 35s for example).

edit: This would be worth a test because it could show if there's some weird math going on with the broken offhand (instead of just tricking the game into thinking you have 2x mainhand)

Agreed this would be a better test I would like to try when I have time this week.

I guess he did say it could have been because one of the griefs was 30 damage worse.

Yeah that's a big difference so we can't say for sure it is more damage. It appears to be the same but we need more testing. I will try to do this tonight or tomorrow.

So I have two griefs with very similar damage. I'm not noticing a dps increase between using 1xgrief vs 2x grief. is this because of my charms?


To fix this, do I need to make sure I have enough base str/dex (not incl charms) to equip both weapons?

i attributed enough str to wear my weapons without torch/charms. But it does require str from enigma.

And by doing this you noticed a ~100% icrease in dps from going 1xgrief to 2xgrief?

Because for me right now it certainly doesn't feel like a 2x increase. I may try respecting tonight and making sure I have enough str/dex without charms to equip both.

i had enough str before i knew about this due to the other bug for weapon damage, i am unsure if that has anything to do with it.

All i know the difference between my GreifZ + Beast was around 20s kill on diablo, vs around 10s with griefZ + broken unrepaired beast in my offhand.

Just realized, right now I rely on my charms to get enough str to wear enigma, and then enigma gives me the remaining str for my weapons.

So do I need to respec and make sure I have enough str to wear enigma without charms?
