I've tried a bunch of different things, even reinstalling lmao.

I'd post a bug report there. Get some attention on it. Seems like a bug that needs to be fixed (if they even can). Losing items is an awful feeling, you can/might help the next player

yeah I'm not playing again until they address it and fix it. So probably never.
I even seen people saying their single player items are poofing lmao

d2r was nothing more than a quick cash grab for them, they could give a fuck less about upkeep, their servers, maintenance, patches, ect.
Blizzard has gone so far down hill from the early 2000s it's sickening.

Maybe its a theory where while you are playing that character and go to switch out it keeps your inventory open and drops it when you are changing characters.

Did you notice if your mule had his/her inventory already open once in the game?

Or were the items on the mule you were using in the “same or relative” inventory spots.

This just sounds like mixed up coding where it appears to be one thing but its not.
