Pvp is growing imo, you have different leagues and stuff but it's a thing. There's also a lot of gm going on in pubs everyday. There was a bit more before RoTW because I won't lie PvM has been pretty hot but those players will come back to pvp after the initial gold rush.

i think pvp is cool just a shame theres so many elitist toxic ppl around it

There are two kinds of pvpers in my opinion

1) people who are actually just the biggest D2 fans. They do everything in D2 and naturally gravitate to pvp because its the only remaining challenge for them in D2 after thousands of hours doing everything else

2) people with massive insecurities or personal issues that lead to them feeling an uncontrollable need to win at something. D2 is one of the only online games where old timers are allowed to beat up on newcomers over and over with no protections. It also is one of the only pvp games (other than gachas) that has P2W PVP where money can actually just buy you a huge advantage. If you look at any other online game, they are probably using skill based matchmaking even for casual matches


I have a hard time believing anyone who tries to convince me that D2 pvp is better than any other pvp game that exists. Other newer games simply have deeper pvp, better systems, more skill required, etc

Okay sure but hes still paying for pvm. Whoever boosted him literally farmed some of the best items in the world regardless

getting high on poe hc leaderboards isnt really about the items, the pilot is the bigger factor, and they don't really need GG items, just like d2, a dedicated team to get them boosted.
they can play SSFHC and not care.

Thats a fun story and maybe you dont need items, but IIRC he had arguably the best staff in the entire world and his character was stacked to the teeth

a mirror staff isn't that hard to come by, but i get it, you don't really know how poe works.
