Yes both of you are correct. Diablo caps at P7 and Baal at P3. The reason for this is there is a cap for how much a single monster can give in exp.

It surprised me a lot as well. It was a great change for S3/patch 2.6 to add all 3 of the areas together in one zone. Yes the mobs are kinda hard to locate, but usually they stack up in a few common locations.
Arcane Sanctuary was a shock for me as well.

Yes you remember correctly. So the testing I did back then on the two, a lot of the zones monsters generally have less HP, which really benefits the nova over the mosaic. As Mosaic is going to one shot everything anyways, the faster Nova can kill the packs the better she can take advantage of her faster teleport frames and telekinesis. But again it was only a couple of percentages.

Actually felt faster than the last lvl 99 I completed on battle.net. Fire druid.

about 23% slower than a Mosaic sin here. Which is not bad.
Gotta try TZ Chaos. But I fear it will be slower there.

FYI enchant was used. As that is what I will do when I'm leveling a Barbarian.
