New runewords is even more reason to play ladder. Hopefully nothing too game breaking comes.

What happens when ladder is over with the items?

What's the point of upgrading lower level set items? None of them will stand out even after upgrades unless drastically changed.

They move to a "non-ladder" version of the game... it's a bit confusing because they also state the items will NOT go to "regular" non-ladder.

To be clear, these Rune Words have never existed in the game before, and they will not be accessible in non-Ladder play like the previous set of Ladder-only Rune Words in the original Diablo II experience. At the end of a Ladder season, players who successfully made these Rune Words will have their Ladder characters be moved into a “non-Ladder” version of the game.

Upon rereading I am not actually sure as it doesn't make a ton of sense lol.

Calling it now. Nova Sorc will become a thing again.

Hopefully they add new merc gear slots (specifically the addition of gloves, belt, boots) to improve end game merc survivability and merc build diversity. This along with adding auras to other mercs besides a2 merc would be much appreciated.

Btw: sell all your stuff now, before prices tank.
