I think the characters are on the ugly side cause the dev team wants to stay far far away from any pretty rainbow wow style aesthetic or anything remotely similar after the backlash d3 got when it launched. I honestly don't think it has anything to do with politics but if your activity trying to seek out patterns that seem that way you'll find them in all sorts of places.

Could be the case but they seem to have done a stellar job on all the other artwork, I haven't seen any complaints really, ppl are only complaining about the look of the classes. What's the explanation for this

Everything is ugly and dark uniformly across the board and everyone is happy except in the case of the fem character faces turns out the player base wants them to be the only pretty thing in the game? Idk i mean I agree the amazon could use a face lift, but if they were really catering to identity politics they would have character creation closer to cp2077 or starwars squadrons where your character is basically genderless and you can put masculine faces on fem bodies and vice versa

You sound like one of those outspoken homophobic pastors who later gets caught with a male prostitute. The fact that you see gender politics in these character models reveals something about what's going in inside your brain. Let's not beat around the bush here: If Blizz pulls a "Samus Aran" with the Amazon and drops hints that she might have something special under the Razortail, that's only a good thing for us because it gives Shadman a reason to start making Diablo content.
