A typical lightning build maxes both though, yeah? Nothing stopping you from primarily using lightning until CL makes sense to use on occasion?

If mobs are scattered, i don't see why not. Hitting everything is inherently more dps than hitting only 4/12 mobs.

Does the scale tip at all for p8 vs p1? Or are we still very much team nova overall?

No need to kill small scattered mobs
You only wanna kill packs unless you are running hc levelling jobs where it needs to be 100% safe

Light sorcs are cool cuz they were harder to TPPK you with so I liked having em around in pubs
