"Game would die without bots" is just PVPers making up justifications for bots since their precious, unnecessary godly rares can't realistically be found any other way. Just runs all the pvmers into the ground with the obvious question of why even bother doing the regearing grind if what you want can be bought from taulborg for a few cents in a week(without bots may take months). Not much incentive to play when scarcity is totally absent from the game in a matter of days in softcore, and like two weeks with hardcore.

Your pvm experience is not changed by botters

The value of items in relationship to each other always stays the same, regardless of botters or not. The only thing botters change is the maximum dollar/fiat/fg value of an item.

For example, an Um rune is worth a shako, regardless if a shako / um costs $100/10,000 fg or $.25/25fg.

Not true at all. Knowing your time is being devalued disincentives pvmers from doing the grind - thats not a concrete way of altering some newbs pvm experience but knowing that in a week high runes are going to be devalued is on everyones mind.

last like 4 seasons its a pul(and even can be found in free games)
Botting eliminates scarcity(and with the current generation of bots, incredibly quickly, meaning even if demand pressure is put on something at a rate higher than normal at beginning of ladder, supply catches up VERY VERY quickly more than normal at a ladder reset) except for all but the most impossible items to find. The price equilibrium has been very different in pre season/season 1 vs now. These statements are just simply untrue.

Your time isn’t being devalued by botters. Yes as time goes on, Whether in a particular ladder or over time in NL, simple items such as stormshield go down in price. Because there ends up being more people geared than not and more people easily able to find a stormshield vs people that need a storm shield.

You are just proving my point.

Botters do not affect your pvm experience. Only the $ value of items.


Blizzard has made each ladder season easier and easier due to new builds, such as mosaic, that only require 2 gul 2 slap the entire game.

Spamming and buying gold is not what makes you trusted. 2021 always gives 1st.

Botting absolutely affects the PVM experience. It basically introduces pay to win mechanics. If you PVM with others, you are affected.

PVP is not "carrying" the game in any way. I would bet there are less than 1000 people in the world who seriously PVP. You could remove PVP from the game and player counts wouldn't change in any noticeable way. Most people PVM

Bald denial. How is stormshield price equilibrium in hardcore season 1/preseason resting at vex and then going to pul in season 3-5 not changing the experience? Especially since in hardcore stormshield is an incredibly efficient way of increasing your survivability dramatically thus allowing you to find more items? Especially since its not the only item to do so? They don't go down from a high rune to a crap rune unless bots are involved. Stop bullshitting. The price values for items are different in a botted economy vs legit economy due to scarcity, which is eliminated by bots. You can even find evidence in the fact that when the game first released, people actually DID start to reach the equilibriums normally used in a botted economy, but couldn't find the items they wanted because there was no supply(since people actually have to find the items they wanted) so the prices of those items reached different values than what they are now in a botted economy. They now mirror what they are in LOD due to bots.

This also was the case for about a month when the banned bots in dec-jan 2018, prices reached different conclusions until the bots came back.
