Its really situational, but with the right gear you can reach about the same cold dmg per hit that you’d do if full physical. So if opponent use 50%dr and low res (even 75 unstacked res) my build would put them at negative res.
So 6k phys (1k pvp) /50%dr = 500 dmg per hit
6k cold (1k pvp) / (75res - 140 = -65%) = 1.65k dmg per hit
Even after 40% reduction from raven its still 0.99k (2x more than the full physical build)

Ye but i mean if someone duels with doom i know he do alot pf cold dmg and i use ravens and other cold resi gear. But when i see a tele ww barb i never would think he do light dmg.

1-71 dmg is equal to 1.5avg dmg after pvp penalties and res
You wont have any -light res like you would on a doom setup

And the doom setup im talking about is just a surprise mind game, you’re not showing it by using your swap wep until duel start, so opponents dont know if your phys or cold
