What kind of barb are you running? Merc kills or you do the killing?

I'm running a WW Barb. I did a Reddit post some time ago with three specs for different budgets. I can link to it if you want.

In a nutshell, the build is 2 Grief, Arreats (replace with Shako in SC), Enigma, War Trav, Arachnid, LoH, BK Ring and a rare ring with 10 FCR and mana leech. 2x Hoto on swap. Hoto is for FCR and skills to Find Item. Chuck a Cham in the helmet for CBF.

Merc is running Kiras, Guardian Angel and Infinity. Before Infinity, use Reaper's Toll. RT has cold damage, but you will out dps your merc by so much that you won't see shattered corpses very often. In all my testing, it's been worth for the buff from Decrepify.

Why infy on merc? You should not have any problems with attack rating, right?

Infinity and Reaper's are equal in clear speed if all of the council members group up nicely, but it's a bit faster when they are scattered around. There's also zero chance for corpses to shatter, and the only time your merc will die is if he's under Conviction, which can't happen if he has Infinity. Infinity is mostly QoL but it is the better option.

Why it cant happend?

The level of a conviction enchantment on bosses is 1/8 of the monster level, rounded down. That means the conviction level in Hell varies from 8 to 11 (this can vary with the new terror zones). Infinity is 12. When there are two active conviction auras, only the one with the highest level will work.
