Botd is best. Dmg is a little lower than greif but the range is what makes it the BIS choice. It also grants all the leech you need
Ps. I tried greif +Phoenix, it's fine but it's no botd

In PvP the range is very useful, in pve not that much, but can be in some cases

I wouldn't be so quick to dunk on the eth reaper wolf. It has quite a few positives imo versus eth tomb or grief set ups.

I.e way more consistent decrep procs vs a toll merc, have the option of using a pride might merc without losing a decrep source, 100 % ds with g face, eth reapers toll is much easier to obtain vs a 3os eth tomb etc.

Obviously grief and tomb are good set ups though. Try a p8 chaos run on sp to compare between these set ups and eth reapers. If you're testing p1 it's prob hard to tell a difference between them.

I am aware of how the ias ss frames worked in original lod btw. To be fair though, during ptr I didnt have a full grasp on the new ias changes.

To add to the convo, apparently death in an eth decapitator is a really powerful budget option as well that can give you 100 ds and 100 cb.

Yeah, I do think Reaper has its place, but I do think it's a better budget option than anything else. I think overall that Grief + Phoenix is an insane PVM setup right now and pretty hard to beat. I would also say that you should probably stick with eth Tomb if you're super into magic finding - it's really hard to get MF on a wolf and Tomb is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to get it. So, Tomb Reaver still has its place, but it's just not the most versatile option anymore. The patch brought a lot of gear choices and flexibility to wolf druids. EBOTD in a Giant Thresher is also absolutely batshit insane but, as oscar mentioned, the range is kind of a moot point in PVM and not necessarily needed. EBOTD GT is probably a top contender for PvE but not sure for solely PVM

Fuck eth up rib, fuck thunder maul, fuck grief

Druids have a natural speed increase when wielding an archon staff, base speed is ever faster than a Barb using one.

Druids are the only class that have "Fast" when holding a plain one.

Yes, I made the death in eth decap. And it absolutely crushes monsters and bosses even in P8

A 415 ebotd archon staff would be cool too

the minimum damage on archon staff is really insane

Min damage is godly.

People thing range is everything, and may be on a Wolf but for WW low range has it's uses.

WW is not an AoE skill. Sure dual grief is better but the shorter range weapons make you hit the same target multiple times instead of hits being spread out because of long range weapons when WW'ing through larger groups.

I like Death Glorious Axe too. Has 1 more range than a Decaptiator actually for like a Charge pali for example

Range is normally not an relevant issue in PVM but I guess in limited scenarios it can be. Range becomes significantly important to consider in PVP
