I guess I just don't understand. Because based on the ptr, nothing really changed with a VT in gm play. 🤷♂️
are you fighting other melee? if you smite someone the VT would just stunlock the jesus out of them with the swirl and you'd usually kill people unless you plaunched them into a puddle or something.
now you get one stun, and then that person has complete mobility when you try to do the next one so they can bail out immediately. that means you can't just get one lucky name lock and drop someone with a tele or charge lock anymore. They can get away.
If you can actually play a smiter and can tele smite over and over again without any issues that's fine. It will be like playing D2L but they have a stronger WSG.
If you're a fucking spastic like i am thats played an ele druid for like 15 years and went to VT in D2R, then this class is like unplayable for you now lol. I name lock by grabing the name and generally teleporting before i move my mouse to my feet. I'll swing it to my feet and start right clicking during the teleport animation because im using tornados or bone spear on my right click and it literally doesn't matter. With a VT you're going to swing at the air like a dumbshit. Most people who don't have a lot of practice name locking specifically the way a VT needs are going to have problems now.
Who cares though I'm just going to play my mains again which are bone and windy. I'm over it I didn't want to play sin, barb, or paly exclusively anyways.
