this made me chuckle :P..
Don't compare games to jobs.
If you do, you would just eventually have to start working in your spare time to ''relax''.
The point is not to compare jobs with games but rather to illustrate the monetary value of time. Many people on these forums seem to only play to earn fg (see all the topics about now prices mean game isn't worth playing anymore etc). My point is that spending 80 hours grinding to find a HR is much worse than working a part-time minimum wage job and just buying the items you want with real money.
It's like idiots in EVE Online who mine asteroids 40 hours a week to pay for their $20 in-game subscription fee. They have turned the game into a shitty job.
Chances are, if you just enjoy playing the game, you're not zerg rushing for HRs and probably don't particularly feel that affected by price fluctuations.
Put another way, would you rather learn to play the piano (or some other instrument), get in better shape, or take up some other hobby? It is interesting to confront hardcore gamers about the monetary value of their time. I asked in a poll a few weeks ago how many hours on average people here played and I found the results truly shocking.
