I dont care. I would even pay 80$ for D2R without ladder at start.

the redundancy of the launch itself. i knew they could launch a new ladder any time which would make my progress so far literally redundant. everything until ladder launch would lose its meaning

edit: they should launch LADDER ONLY and start immediately with the first season which turns after 3-6 months into non ladder and a 2nd ladder starts

Honestly I don't think they would literally have people launch with non ladder and say after couple weeks they will do a fresh restart with ladder. They could prolong it though which isn't a big deal either

Is this confirmed that ladder-only uniques and ladder-only runewords won't be accessible at launch? I feel like this makes no sense for a game where at least half of the gameplay is itemization and ladder-only items make a HUGE difference for every build

that's an assumption. we don't know that. but we certainly know that blizzard didn't understand the vibes of warcraft 3 players and there are multiple red flags it will be similiar in d2 (ladder, widescreen, tomorrows beta being an actual alpha).
