Personally, I would personally say it is 50/50 on whether the start date is the same day as this season's end date, vs there being a week between the two for changes and us to find major game-breaking bugs. It might even be favored 40/60 for the same day, but they are making some changes like WASD movement that make me think it could easily be involve a gap.

I will try to reach out to them on twitter again, but like the guy above is saying, they could be different days, so be careful and plan accordingly.

WASD isn't irrelevant or not because of tele. WASD needs testing because there were multiple duping methods with it found on day 1. I found and reported one that I don't think anyone else did that was so incredibly busted that I was asked not to publicize it. It was utterly and completely broken and they will need to iron out several kinks if they want it to work properly. It doesn't sound like a big change but it is on the back-end. There is a reason it was disabled almost immediately.

tbh, I was terrified of getting my account and IP address banned. Not the smartest move but the method being out there would have been really bad. It was both a method for duping (and duping dupes) but also for server-side data corruption. I didn't have that part "solved" but I could get consistent results and with time, I do believe it would have been possible to hack items in.
They did also say at least one other method was found and they would have disabled it anyway, but not my finest hour, to be sure.

Edit: so yeah if anyone was curious why it took so long, it would be an extremely solid guess to assume that was why.
