You can go into old post archives from 2008/2009 at the end of ladder and see what they were selling around that time. I just went and did that. It wasn't really anything like that (45 lifer sets) That didn't come until later and not until the last few months of ladder, not the first month.
My thinking is there just isn't as MANY people who can roll items like back in LoD. Someone like OnAir can still do that, but not many others can. But duping/item rolling is absolutely happening. It would be crazy to assume it's not when there's always been duping for this game... It's kinda part of what it's online play is known for!

it is just botters, I could run fucking 30 copies of d2 on my pc alone, why do people think it is duping? I botted back in early 2000s, I would get a HR per night just off pindle alone. Imagine 30x of these per night, and you get the idea.
