magic dmg is close to irrelevant in pvm

they can both have 15 dex
you dont need the str, you don't need the cbf
so imo, 65 life and +5 max fire res is much better than 30% magic res


im leaning that way too. curious to see what magic dmg will feel like now with -45% magic res.

With 7 Pcombs on (sry the others are on Expansion I'm too lazy to convert for this)

Without Conc :
Hoto DMG Hammers : 3352-3379
Void : 3586-3615

Now with conc on :
Hoto : 13-13k
Void : 14-14k

Swapped MF ring to BK :

Hoto goes 14-14k
Void goes 14-15k

With BC and BK on :
Hoto 14-15k
Void 15-15k

Reminding you this is a 10% Void.
I have no other "+Magic dmg%" source than Void (like no renewed black cleft or guardians light or opalvein).


If you really wanted to test more easily, you could respec and not fully put points into conc aura, so your BH doesn't hit 5 digit damage territory.

But +Magic dmg% is multiplicative and not additive with conc. aura.

With level 35BH and level 30 conc, Void should be 6.3% stronger w/o conc, and 3% stronger w/ conc.
With level 30BH and level 25 conc, Void should be 5.% stronger w/o cocn and 1.9% stronger w/ conc.

It's very minimal because +skills is extremely important for hdin. Better to get it on slots with minimal tradeoffs like Sling/Hellwarden where you're at least getting 10/20 FCR + the magic dmg/resist vs +1 Sk (unless you're using a 2/20 helm)

lethargy sigil charges on rare rings is pretty cute. looking forward to see other classes sneak that into their builds.

Lethargy is dogshit without levels. It only has serviceable aoe size at level 10, and good size at 20.

not really an issue vs. single target. its also just something new the old classes never had access to
and its just more damage added easily without doing something like overriding amp or decrep.

Also, my first point was that Void has 30 MF which HOTO doesnt, so even with 1% less DMG on Void my choice would be done.
I know how most people don't value MF but I am not of that kind, rather the opposite :drool:

Yup this pretty much confirm what I thought, following the same logic as +% elemental dmg when paired with fire/light mastery (and maxroll is wrongfully showing it as if it was multiplicative instead of additive).
That bonus magic dmg is not super effective for a hdin compared to other builds, cuz it's additive with conc.
And it also means you'll possibly end up with more dmg from hoto if you start to use +% magic dmg from sunder/jewel, cuz then they'll increase a higher base dmg.
But sure, without those end game items, void could be slightly better for you right now.

Now that it's a few weeks into the new season, are you finding any of your classes that you enjoyed playing before significantly changed?

Or is it just warios echo striking and teleing everywhere amping everything with their fat boys?

its not solving the phys. immune issue, but its just another source to sneak in even more damage, which previously didnt exist. im not saying its bis, but physical builds have another avenue to increase their dmg, even if it isnt astronomical.

previously skills that were available through charges, werent increasing damage, more just utility skills like teleport or lifetap. gavel of pain aside...
