Yes, it is possible for a triple hybrid sorc to clear seals in a solo game.
But for sanity, two players is more fun, and they would have to load up the game with 8 people before spawning dia, otherwise you don't get 1/8 d xp. Again easier with 2 people.
Also soloing cs for a sorc is not easy, and requires not only skill, but probably 3min to do so, without searching for a shrine. So add 15-30 sec, because calculating a 15% fail rate is nice, but this also means added time spent searching.
You want 7.5 D kills in those 3+ min, so 8 sorc minimum, times 4-8, if they play 3-6 hours, is still 32-64 people. Main character. 3-6 hours is 4-8 people. Totaling 36-72 players.
If you take 8 weeks to complete instead of 2, you can divide the players by 4.
Thus 8-16 players, which is more reasonable.
Or if you have more people joining, a bit more relaxed runs.
I really like the idea of a 99 in classic, being a diehard, oldskool hc classic player myself, but this thing will likely be a marathon, not a sprint.
Yes I do agree it would be more reasonable to keep it at 1/4 or 1/3 of the day in duration for 6-8 weeks.
No doubt this will require an insane planning. But already got a lot of people contacting about wanting to be in it. Also the possibility for lots of loot!
Please do try this regardless of how many people you can recruit.
To date I donβt believe anyone has reached 99 on D2R classic even on non ladder since season 1. Highest during any ladder season is 97 with >3billion exp but <3.1billion exp.
It would be so incredible if we could do it as a community, as it will require more people involved. I definitely don't have 40k+ Diablo kills in myself for one ladder season.
Good idea Roneye but I think ppl are not ready to go back to old D2LoD grind.
Community been fed with easy items, easy exp, easy power creep.
Can't imagine finding like 20-30 people grinding daily for 3 months to get one guy to 99. Even on season 1 when Teo and Llama did their diablo kills ppl started shitstorm about it.
But I'll watch the topic. if you guys start I'll be happy to do some rushes or maybe host ench on classic (if you don't call it a cheat / bot / etc like you did last time)
The spirit of the game has definitely games the last few years. There are still some amazing communities doing these things (LOD style) as a team. Like DoH, MQT etc

Unfortunately a din is probably the best.
Paladin would be easiest. Barbarian the coolest.
But what would have to be decided as a community. Not up to me to decide it.
