I also was writing a section about the subject super unique, unique and champion packs. About their spawn limits, how one overrides the other and why you wanna run each map in specific patterns, so you can clear the most amount of unique/champion packs per hour. But it went into a rabbit hole that deserves its own topic.

20 minutes seemed to be an okay compromise, I didn't quite feel like doing more than 15~ hours of single player testing. But yes you are right the more testing the better. For some of the zones I actually did two test passes where they pretty much hit within the margin or error.
Tested these twice: Chaos, Arcane, Sewers, Flayer Jungle and Flayer Dungeon, Spider Forest and Spider Cavern, Lost City, Valley of Snakes, and Claw Viper Temple. As these kinda surprised me and wanted to make sure the results were correct.

Spider forest - from town
Cata - from inner wp
Halls - from wp - as maps are static go towards Nihl, kill packs on the way. After killing Nihl return and go in parallel lines about 1.5 screens apart. Clear about 40% of the Halls of Anguish and Halls of Pain, that usually spawns around 80-90% of the unique/champion pack limit. End with killing Pindleskin.
Flayer - from LK WP, backtrack. find flayer dungeon, continue of around 50-60% of flayer jungle has been cleared for packs.
Lost city - main goal is to find Claw viper, clear about 30-50% of lost city depending on the place entrances are.
Foothills - Frigid highlands wp straight to frigid hills only do half of the second half and then back to frigid highlands.

You are assuming correctly. Under all the testing I didn't lose the charges at all, the only need for stacking up is 7 seconds in the start of each game. Doesn't sound like much, but in the case of 45 chaos games/h. 320seconds/5.25minutes aka 9% of the whole hour it used actually doing that lol.

Because I know psn nova CE necro is quite insane at lower players count because of the very large AOE. The issue is just CE damage doesn't scale with amount of players, around P4-P5 it falls off quite quickly.

I was usually playing between 5 and 8 player. I know the damage stops scaling but it's still pretty insane, and psn nova acts a lot like static at that count.
