One thing about Hardcore is when two people get into it and start talking shit, beef gets settled by making a game and dueling it out.

Nothing needs to be said after someone dies. And it's still respect if you lose/die. At least you got down.

For sure, it's good practice to drop ears at the bridge all day. But once you've done that for 1-3 years, it's time to move on to HC PvM, PvP, loot duels, PK, HC economy/culture, hacks, drama all of that.

That's how the vibe was at launch. Like if you went into a PC lan cafe irl, most people were playing D2 on HC, duping on bnet HC, botting on HC, even like Koreans that played on Asia and were really gg.

There are no rules. No "bad manners". No excuses.

Like the rush of HC PvP is way more visceral than SC by farrrr

It’s crazy how much crap softcore players talk when they play the most rudimentary and easiest version of the game available after 20 years which involves zero skill because you literally can’t lose at the game.

It’s like when at kids schools now days when they hand out the honors awards to the smart kids (hardcore) and at the end they still give out the “most improvement” award to the rest of the kids who got by with Ds and Cs (softcore) so that they feel included and not ashamed they are bad.

Softcore pvp is a lot more skill based honestly, it's actually fast paced with aggressive plays and you cant rely on juvs in gm duels. In hardcore you never really get a chance to actually get good because you are so focused on not dying you dont really taken risks during the duels. The best way to get better is to die over and over to people better than you and learn from them. Softcore pvp you get much more duel time so of course you get better
