We can argue about the calibre of players, but its a rather useless argument. I will not deny that there were very good players in the past with great namelocks. The point being made is that you have 1. a game with wsg which allows for a dynamic, reactive and proactive gameplay. Vs. 2. a game without WSG, which is simply a defensive, run away playstyle and avoid getting mb'd playstyle. One is way more competitive and fun, the other isn't.
eh, again a difference of opinions.
I had a lot of fun in 2004-2008 duels before that shit was commonplace, and there was quite a lot of competition with clan wars all the time, everyone had fun.
so I don't see the big deal of needing to adapt again even though meta and tactics had evolved into something current players have grown to love.
