I'm glad we're finally arriving at a consensus that there's no real point to leech in this build :)

I much prefer leech, but I recognize that I'm testing and playing this build on p8 at the hardest zones in the game usually. On p1, there isn't really a need to leech

Leech always useful , safe measure for p8 heralds . meak not enough with mb costing 23-24 . It sustains my pool as long as they not undead , thats where medic merc comes to help . thats HC build no second chances .

I just can't go without that extra damage and extra teleport frame now that I've played with it. It's quite noticeable when you get used to it (+15% magic skill damage is roughly the same as +4.5 skill points into bane, and +30% with the double dip and -20% with the shield is literally roughly 50% more effective magic damage on weapon swap than Mist has = killing bosses twice as fast, which is super nice on p8 and/or vs Heralds). I'm also getting +3 to consume and defiler with void, and I don't have to do any gear swaps at all with it. One of the big appeals to me for using this build is also not having to recast BO every 2 mins. Instead, I just need to recast consume and hex:bane once every 10 minutes or so.

Yep - although playing self wield infinity fcr frames into javazon fcr frames, it feels soooo much better than jav my god, the BO is a mild annoyance, it is helpful to the merc too, even tho you just tele away and pluck your bowstring anyways. Quite expensive for the consume defiler base but still pretty cool. I think I might be more annoyed with swapping weapons to tele and then swapping back to do damage, but maybe not. It's probably better if you get leech on gloves if you dont have enough mana pool without BO to sustain teleports

leech is definitely useful and a luxury, but you don't need it, you can get away without it. I can't say if you need to mana pot with a non-bo mana pool, I always run battle orders.

You could give up sling/soj/opal for a GG leech ring too if you really wanted to as well, considering if you only lose a little damage, and you still shred even at the lowest "endgame" amount of damage, not even prebuffing or running a 100% bis setup

What I mean is that leech is pretty insignificant in the build. You can also just click the edritch blast button and leech

I suppose it's subjective. I'm someone who prefers to never have to use potions. I often carry identify scrolls in my potions slots even when I can. So I like the leech based on my preferred playstyle, since there are only a couple of S-tier builds like this that leech is useful on.

OK, I tried Ubers but failed. At least he didn't die in HC, and Smiter did the job.

I'll challenge Ubers again once I have enough keys, as I bound a Pit Lord in Uber Tristram which is immune to cold, fire, lightning and poison. I wanted to bind one in Furnace, but unfortunately there wasn't one

Gears:
Buriza-do(LR jewel), Hellwarden(a random ancient jewel for magic), +2 @res Ammy, Gloom, Horazon Gloves + Boots, Blood Craft Belt, Res Ring + Dual Leech ring.
a52 Merc: Arreats, PB Voice of Reason/PB Mania, Treachery

Yup, I do.

I use Marrowwalk on my Smiter, so I don't have to switch. And when I do Ubers with Fire Sorc, I still use Marrowwalk for Bone Prison. Marrowwalk is the best boots vs Ubers, hehe

But I need to equip Horazon Gloves and Boots on Warlock, so can't use Marrowwalk on him :o
