I've been trying to flip with some limited success, but it's quite slow, or is it just that I'm lazy :P?

make a blizz sorc and farm meph and sell everything as soon as it drops, do it for 3 days and youll have a fully geared character with enigma infinity etc. sell everything for the first 3 days

So... Just grind the absolute pancakes out of the game and sell everything at the start of ladder for fg, then trade for endgame gear later

yeah its a race to find and sell as much as you can before bots saturate and crash the market. Once that happens you can buy back the gear later for cheap. Honestly I don't mind bots cause they keep prices cheap. It just changes how I have to play if I want to afford nice items.

But spending your own time grinding isn't efficient. Better to spend an hour to work overtime to buy fg here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=279
Gonna net you way more FG on average than grinding ladder for like 10-20hrs.

for accruing wealth outside of the first week of the ladder rush...
while leveling your characters to 99
id every rare you find
id every magic that has potential to roll a useful affix combo you find
pick up every jewel, gem, and rune you find
pick up every ethereal and certain non-ethereal runeword bases you can find
-
sell the good ids, get their actual value when trading them
gamble with the spare gold you make selling bad ids
craft with the jewels gems and runes
use cube recipe to socket the ethereal bases
roll runewords that are always in demand with the bases you roll that do not sell and sell these instead, higher rolls obviously are more in demand.
rinse and repeat

sell rushes or level and sell bumpers for rushes
sell the socket and imbue quests from your bumpers before deleting them (or use them if you think you have some worthy bases)
grab forge, cain, gibdin, a5 barb rescue, and anya on these characters as well for a few additional rares and runes

trav gf barbs combined with gambling are also nice and not too difficult to build.
