blood boil got hit by another set of nerfs in the unreleased patch, according to its notes
but we still have no idea if its for real or not
BiS blood boil on live patch lists 10.6 radius, actually has 21.2 radius
On PTR it claimed to nerf it to an insane and unplayable 2/3/4 radius, but it was still 10.6 radius, they just changed the tooltip
The last patch notes, unreleased so we can't test, claim to have set the radius at 7
For all we know, the actual radius will still be 10.6 because they are incompetent. But if its really 7 now, that's another big nerf
Likewise, the notes said;
>Sigil: Lethargy
>Fixed an issue where the skill did not affect hostile players.
Except the PTR version of sigil lethargy had no effect on anything, whether players or monsters. It simply applied no % slow, and they claimed to have purposefully removed the %dr, sigil does nothing at all its a useless skill
And on tainted it claims;
>Reduced the damage synergy from Blood Boil from 30% to 20%.
>Fixed an issue where the damage synergy from Blood Boil did not apply.
That issue is listed as fixed in the newer, non-PTR version. But the synergy already works on the PTR version, not live version, so again they goofed something, maybe just the color of the text. But its a significant nerf to the PTR version of summon tainted, taking a ~36000 non-prebuff / ~46000 prebuff tainted down to 26k/33k. Still plenty high however, so it should still be stupidly overpowered
The bind demon nerf from PTR version was absolutely prohibitive and another reason summon tainted easily eclipses them. The life total was set simply too low to keep a demon alive. Even the tankiest demon you can get, making it immune to everything but magic or maybe cold, which you could get with a stone skin venom lord, still won't keep your demon alive because amp damage -100% dr is fully effective with no penalty against physical immune demons, whether they got it natively or via blood oath's %dr. So even a 116% dr demon becomes 16% dr when amped and dies instantly to heralds.
Is that still the case on this newer version?
Who the fuck knows. they didn't PTR it.
