You're getting mad about made-up definitions of words you were fed by whatever conservative slop you listen to. California isn't a stateless, classless, moneyless society where workers own the means of production; nor is it a Soviet style authoritarian state that throws you in prison for things said online. Fascism is right-wing ultranationalist authoritarianism, which is absolutely where the conservative party has been heading.
I don't necessarily even disagree with you about the possible direction of the conservative party. I don't like that either.
The reality is both sides of the spectrum have inherent tendencies and ideologies (generally).
I highly recommend the Gulag Archipelago and Crime and Punishment. The parallels of left wing philosophy are astoundingly accurate when compared to modern day policies.
