welp ive tried every possible combination of resolutions, frame rate caps, etc. the game plays great until i alt tab, usually then my fps dips about 70% and stays there ujntil i reboot my loaders. i tried the logging in bypassing bnet client etc. didnt work either. im at a complete loss

I get that sometimes, between alt tabing for work n trade and watching show same time with loader sometimes its the game not being prio 1, tp to town or windowed then full screen again usually fixes it

yeh sometimes going windowed full screen etc works. but usually not.

and i tried manually setting affinities and dedicating cores in task manager. didnt help

1. Are you playing in windowed mode?
2. Have you capped background application FPS in your nVIDIA settings?
3. Have you reduced in game graphics settings and set a reasonable max cap depending on your GPU capabilities (I would suggest 120fps with that GPU and 3 instances)

If no to any of these questions, then you can expect issues.
Additionally if your GPU processing util is at or above 90%, then can expect issues also.

I also run 3 instances and have the same issues. Not recreational. Sucks when you just terrorized a whole act, but if not, then just leave D2 on all 3 acc and re-open. Works again.

its weird, sometimes i get amazing fps (200+) for hours, then sometimes randomly ill enter town and it will go down to like 60 and stay there and be laggy. need to upgrade ram or?


ive tried running all 3 full screen on same res and alt tabbing, ive tried having the main full screen and other 2 tiny windows in background, and main screen full and other 2 on another monitor in small resolution
