I don't really see your point there.
I mean, choosing Blessed Aim as the built-in aura doesn't mean a sacrifice in attack speed.
You can very well have both, to increase the proc rate even further.

I guess you meant Battle Cry, cause Taunt doesn't work on bosses.
I've went that road in the past, it hurts the DPS compared to Blessed Aim + damaging curse, though it's probably great for HC.

I meant you have 2 ways to improve proc rate, hit chance through blessed aim or by increasing the amount of hits via attack speed. 75ias with a thresher results in 4.5fpa jab speed for the merc or 5.56 attacks per second. Yeah, I meant battle cry, not just hardcore also softcore. Decrepify makes crishing blow more effective.

blessed aim is bait unless you have mass base ar somewhere else and if you can afford a 3/xx/xx sc inventory you can afford a 2nd client and an enchanter while running infinity merc on barb
