I'm old, but not that old. Diablo was my first game. My first exposure was at a friends house when his older brother was playing. I remember he had Japanese looking armor (Splint Mail) and sword (Great Sword). That that was cool af. Didn't know the name at the time, but somehow at a later date another friend of mine ended up with the game and loved it. Then the expansion hit, and that was cool af for young us as well.

I remember taking a lvl 1 sorcerer into the hardest difficulty. As soon as you could cheese kill a monster you would gain a crap ton of levels.

Simpler times. I wish I could remember more, but my memory of my childhood is atrocious. You are very lucky if you remember most of your childhood.

Diablo II

D2Lod, me and my friend extra built 2x PCs with radeon 9800pro vga to play together. That summer was really hot, I was playing with an open case

I think it was either Warcraft had demo or preview for Diablo, or it was a gaming magazine that had some demo. Game came out and I played it. Picked up Diablo 2 on day of release on my way home from work. Was not until after LOD was released I tried this multiplayer thing they had. I always figured online playing with a bunch of strangers on the internet would be the worse experience ever.

Just after D2 LOD came Call of Duty (O.G.) and ever since I simply can not play an offline game.
