in 25 years? not really for the dedicated players, your casual players aren't getting 1 99, but it doesn't take years to get a 99, god forbid where bots are 99.9% of the games anyways.
Thats just a who wanted to pay more for electricity.

You’re calculating it like it’s been the same for 25 years, which isn’t true.The “golden years” of LOD were a much smaller window, when the player base was active and getting 99 actually meant having a dedicated group leveling together.
The upside was there were plenty of real players, so if you were committed, you could find a group and go for it.
But after everything changed and most games were bot games. 99s existed more, but for legit players it wasn’t really worth pushing, since you were basically stuck in bot runs (unless you were doing stuff like Java sniping Baal kills),
and was really hard to find a group at that point.

P5 is honestly fine if you're not doing a top tier build. Don't neglect clear speed.

P8 with 1 other person in your area would be roughly the same as solo p5 in terms of raw xp but if you coordinate clear it's probably better.

8 player game spam act2 shards and do tombs non stop

I’ve been making cow runs, I grab the leg, create a portal then go off to run TZ. Pretty consistent p5-8 games.

I’m on expansion so no shards. Experience is better than running Baal, probably 2-3x as fast as Baal.

A dedicated TZ group would be better but hard to find.

Can also pay for a filler service to get you P8 in pirate games. Kind of expensive though.

I also focus on clearing Uniques, champions, and large groups. I avoid lone stragglers or immunities I can’t break. Speed of clearing is important too.

Finally save your ancient quests until lvl 98, they offer fixed experience when you complete the quest and can save you like 50+ hours of grinding.
