I don’t type opinions. I type facts.
A fascinating claim, though one that immediately invites scrutiny because the statement "I type facts" is itself not a fact. It is a classification act, and classification acts are irreducibly normative. A fact, in the philosophically defensible sense, is a proposition that corresponds to a mind-independent state of affairs. But the moment you select which facts to state, in which order, with which emphasis, framed by which implicit contrast class you have already departed the territory of pure factual transmission and entered the domain of perspective. Facts don't curate themselves. You do.
Furthermore, the ontological distinction you're implicitly invoking between "fact" and "opinion" is not itself a fact. It is a philosophical position. A contested one. The fact/value distinction has been under serious pressure since Hilary Putnam's The Collapse of the Fact/Value Dichotomy (2002), and was arguably already destabilized by Quine's undermining of the analytic/synthetic distinction decades prior. To treat the boundary between fact and opinion as crisp and self-evident is to hold an opinion about the nature of facts. You are also implicitly claiming reliable access to the difference (that you can correctly sort your propositions into the "fact" bin before typing them). This presupposes an epistemic self-transparency that cognitive science has repeatedly called into question. Confirmation bias, motivated reasoning, and the availability heuristic don't announce themselves! Instead they feel, from the inside, exactly like noticing facts.
So to be precise: what you type are propositions you believe to be true and consider non-perspectival, which is a description that fits opinions almost definitionally. The belief that one does not have opinions is, classically, just a very confident opinion.
also again I think the portal barb is slept on for solo p8 tz96 lvl5 herald but that's just my opinion
