you don't seem to get my point.
yes i know those sales are there on that site.
i'm questioning the legimity of those sales and whether they are even real.
i've seen the exact same jewel being listed there by 3 different sellers at the exact same time.
i'm suspecting they are fake-selling them to each other on that site to create the illusion of a high price market that in reality doesn't exist because nobody here on jsp is paying anywhere close to those prices.

sure but wouldn't you expenct the fg smount of the seller to go up after they claim the item to be sold
usually it doens't or at least no by as much as they claim the item to be sold for

not if they're sold for items

there have probably been around 5-10 of these jewels that have been sold, there are thousands and thousands of d2r players, it takes less than 5-10 of them be willing to pay 1x 32020, which is not totally out there considering unid jewel is 500 fgs at cost

to me this is not surprising at all but if you want to believe that they're manipulating the price then go ahead even though it literally takes 36 rolls to get 10/10 which is 18000 fgs of unid jewels

Most get sold to serious buyers via PM as the buyer's strategy to avoid bidding wars.
If you undervalue your 10kfg item and start receiving offers of 1-2k on the thread, then big buyer comes and offers 8k via PM, you're going to jump on it.
Also fg values obviously won't change when they're sold for charms like 3/20/20s or 20/5s.

i guess so.
i would just really like to see a proof that people actually offer that much.
ideally with fg amount changing according as validation.
because as it stands there seem to be 2 markets, a private one and a public one and their prices are vastly different.

Wait till you see how expensive sunders get when people catch on to just how rare they are.
The prices now are nothing.
The market will adjust prices to their rarity over time, then they will be real luxury items.

i understand the sunder prices
those are actually rare and i didn't notice the same pattern with offers and sales prices as i notice with the jewels

Let me say this first, I'm not gonna lie I'm a bit salty.

But over the last week I noticed a troubling pattern when it comes to specificly Guardian's Thunder jewels in the RotW, in particular 10/10 jewels.

It basically always goes like this:

- the item gets listed
- some offers come in
- then the seller sets and absurdly high bin
- some more offers tickle in (way below bin)
- then out of nowhere the seller claims the item has been sold (for the bin or something crazy like a 3/20/20)

The problem?
There NEVER is any public offer anywhere near the price the seller claims to have sold them item for.
We are talking not even 1/3 of the claimed price.
And most of the time the fg amount of the seller also doesn't change in the way it should to back their claim.

My suspicion is that there are people in the background who sell or fake-sell those items to each other trying to create the impression that they are worth much more than they are in the hopes of eventually finding a dumb person who actually pays that much.
I know there are other places to trade and the item could have been sold there.
But when you see the exact same jewel with 5 variable stats that are 100% identical being listed 3 times at once you have to wonder about that legitimity too.

Anyone notices the same thing?
Or am I just too salty right now?
