I have 47% damage going to the demon. But i'm getting hit far harder than it should. I don't know the cause, if only hard points works or is some bug. But the damage reduced shown by the skill is not working.

do the math without your softpoints. it gives 5+2*(lvl-1) damage redirection, so look at what base is, do the math, that's what it actually is. i can verify this part actually works. the display is simply wrong though

the reason a lot of people are feeling 40% is because the maximum value obtained with hardpoints is 43%.

Yeah, if the skill only works with hard points the damage reduced calculated seems close to what you are actually getting hit, no +2eni, +3torch, etc

With some extended testing on a 0% dr / 75% resist / 0 dr / 0 mdr char with 37 blood oath (20 hard points, 77% displayed, 43% predicted)
against a lightning spire hitting me with its lightning only I got 41.8% reduction against a zombie hitting me and disregarding crits I got 45.3%
I'd guess its pretty simply 43% of all damage of all types shaved off warlock as long as he has minions out and 20 hard points in the skill

This also means that once again we've got a shake up to how you should dump your skills, because 43% damage mitigation is a bigger effect than the leftovers on the other skills
so yeah should be maxing blood oath on basically every build

Holy shit thanks for this
Reset my skills and put 20 hard points into Blood Pact and it's like night and day
I'd rather take the ~75% more effective HP from 43% damage reduction than the maybe 10% more damage from maxing levitation mastery, everything already dies way fast enough
Can sleep in the middle of the trav council hydra pool now
