CB is largely insignificant after the first hit. My setup does 2200-8200 dmg, shaft + SS is like 1600-5500. Why build around countering such relatively insignificant damage that suffers a lot from diminishing returns?

Assumijg a zealer has 4000 life, landing crushing blow on the first hit does 200 damage after the typical 50% DR reduction.

Given zealers have a 25% chance for CB (15% from gore and 10% from craft glove or steelrend), on average, CB does 50 damage on the first hit as 25% of 200 = 50

Congrats on mitigating on average 50 damage on the first hit. And significantly less on subsequent hits.

For reference, in jays build above, in his typical build, he does 442 average damage before deadly strike.

With your ss + shaft build, that drops down to 301 damage.


So you are wanting to do 140 less average damage so that you take 50 less damage on the first hit. And less on additional hits.

Last I checked 140 is larger than 50

I didn’t even account for deadly strike. Assuming a 92% DS Build, that 442 turns into 848 and your 301 turns into 577.

Making the dmaagw spread even larger.
