But I'm not talking about the price / demand issue, I'm talking about the poor game balance side of it.

Cold Soso finds Cold Sander = GFG forever entire game on P8. Immediate GG via Cold Mastery Passive (Available for free at clvl30) wrecking everything.
Fire Soso finds Fire Sander = Still needs to farm a ton of gear.
Light Soso finds Light Sander = Still needs to farm a ton of gear.

There were unbreakable fire immunes before. With sundered charms, no more fire immunes. You can have -28 (Phoenix), -15% (flickering flame), -17% ( infinity) and 2x -5% facets for a total of -70% fire res which would means 25 fire res after being sundered. I don' see a problem here. A decked out fire sorc with sundered charms has got 120000k dps with fireball alone. Even with half of that you're going to decimate a sundered monster into oblivion.

I think the real reason is probably because of the way it is coded. They probably can't do it easily without also nerfing all of the other -res from gear. If they did that and peopl'e crescent moons, etc were nerfed everyone would throw a fit.
