And if these changes continue to impact PVP, and the PVP crowd abondonds D2r, the game will die quickly.

O you sure dont know how Activision works. AKA the guys running the shit show of Diablo 3... and THEY are the ones in charge of D2R. Vicarious Vision or whatever may do the graphic and coding... but they have to have all of the ideas passed thru Activision Blizzard first.

And what i stated is EXACTLY what D3 forces u to do. They essentially made it so NOBODY should play Non Ladder (non season for d3 terms) and they want everyone to always start fresh which is annoying as fuck cause this game is such a huge time sink to even get half a decent PK/PVP char setup.

I am expecting mostly mid-level runewords which won't be crazy expensive. This is good and bad. At first it's great because they will be attainable and most players will have the opportunity to explore them, but on the other hand I expect them to have an effect on the game similar to Spirit and Insight.

I am mostly excited to use something other than an Act II merc. I have made so many wonky builds to use other mercs but most of the time they just aren't great.

Not a chance. PVPers has allways played on NL and the majority of players have been coming around for the ladder resets.

As long as there is a ladder to play D2R will have players. I dont see anyone going back to OG d2 ladder. Pvpers can go OG d2 if they want but most likely d2r NL is gonna be low population compared to d2r ladder

We've had the same meta for 20 years. It's time for something besides blizz sorc, hammerdins, nigmas and spirits.

All the godly PVP chars will ultimately be on non-ladder. This is how it has always been. You make your FG flipping overpriced items then deck out your dude after ladder ends.

There is always a large amount of PVPers on ladder.

And ladder MFs to sell stuff to people looking to MF to find stuff to sell to the PVP crowd, both on ladder and when the good items roll over to NL.
