They basically fixed Amazon after 20 years. Fending and running around is soo smooth now. Feels completely different. I can't even imagine this with a storm shield
yeah to be clear my testing indicates that dodge/evade/avoid have no gameplay functional animation at all anymore. Its like attacks/spells/etc having an extra 60% chance to miss. You don't get interrupted by the animation, the animation only plays if you are idle, and you can instantly cancel out of the animation, so in effect its just like the idle animation. And I think evade's animation doesn't trigger at all, since it only works while moving and you can now move completely unimpeded by DAE. This is very very very far beyond what was possible with WSG to mitigate D/A/E, since even if you WSGed absolutely perfectly, it still interrupted animations and restarted them.
notably this means zons just went from being the most heavily interrupted class to being the least interrupted class. 60% chance for an attack to not register at all means 60% less chance it puts you into hit recovery, 60% less chance it makes you block
zons will actually have an easier time teleporting in both PvP and PvM than most other chars now lmao. Slower, but far more reliable
