This change is bad and they should reconsider. If it requires 20 points and you do a weapon swap and drop below that will the demon you took significant time to find just instantly die? I don't believe they really thought that change through. Also kind of forces 20 points into one talent. Sure it's a 1 point wonder currently but it improves the damage as you dump points into it. The reason it's so op is the amp damage procs which they are lowering and the sheer tankyness aspect. The hp could be lowered where placing points or getting skill bonus points into it greatly improves the hp to actually make it uber worthy tank hp scaling.
Not being able to use shields with two handers is also kind of stupid due to the fact that there are players out there that have terrible luck with the ARS offhands. I haven't found a single one in countless hours. Being at least able to use a spirit shield which is less optimal than mephistos for echoing or the others for fire spec etc is a viable and not op alternative since it requires significant str investment, losing out on vita like everyone else.
20 hard points means it wont die from weap swaps
anyway forced hard point investments is how nerfs works from a developers stand point. To force u to waste ur valueable skill points that can no longer be spent into DPS synergys, etc (ex: no more 20 pt consume builds now).
But i do agree the shield usage on off hand with a 2 hander might have been a bit unnecessary being that they advertised the warlock to be a giga chad to be able to levitate a 2hander in a 1hand slot. But again ... you prolly need to play diablo 4 to understand how over zealous the Blizzard team is when it comes to nerfs and buffs. They will MASSIVELY over buff the new stuff to get money made/product sold. Then SEVERELY castrate the class after the money has been taken from the customers. The D4 paladin literally got castrated the following season patch after it was early released lol. Stealing your money so EZ like taking candy from a baby. So it was 1000% expected warlock was going bye bye after this launch.
