For anyone interested, you can automate the process of searching and killing the handle in Process Explorer, though you need the command-line version of it called Handle, it's from the same person who made Process Explorer and can be found googling Handle Microsoft.

To find the process, you run something like this:
handle -p D2R.exe -a "BaseNamedObjects\DiabloII Check For Other Instances" | findstr /C:"D2R.exe" | findstr /C:"Sessions"

which outputs:
D2R.exe pid: 17600 type: Event 550: \Sessions\1\BaseNamedObjects\DiabloII Check For Other Instances

Then you grab the PID (17600 in this case) and handle hex (550 in this case) and then you can run this to close the handle:
handle -p 17600 -c 550 -y

If you're good with coding, you can set it up so you just double-click the .bat script and it automatically kills the handle.

Thanks for this.

I use isBOXER on two pc.

Considering this method. I'll have to make my own .bat to not spend much time killing procress.

I've found that I have to be logged in before firing up the next one or it tries to log in on the same acc and just closes, which results in having to wait for the queue 1 at a time. Anyone have a solution for queing all instances together?

it does crash yes. it's annoying but it's the price to pay to have peace of mind magic finding high # games without ruining people public games.

had lot of bnet balance so i decided to go the friendly approach of letting people enjoy their pub games. some people hate me for having an unfair advantage but i guess we can't make everyone happy.

i cant for the life of me understand the people that complain about what people do when it comes to multiboxing.

in singleplayer u have the option to have /8 player games, in multiplayer you will either be hated for ruining public games, or play at a huge disadvantage by solo mf.

admittedly paying a hefty sum of money so that u can pleasure others by not ruining their games, and not being able to set /8 player games yourself. is a heavy compremize but it is one some people are willing to do for peace of mind, i did the same in d2 original.

its sad that people hate multiboxers and complain even at this solution of not disturbing others while maintaning the sence of fun mf/challanges that comes with 8 player content

Yeah... I personally love the fact i can simply go on and on magic finding full games without crashing someone public games. I feel for them. Imagine going on for a good hour or two trying to complete your progression then someone come in, kill bosses, leave. That sucks.

So instead, i went the extra mile and simply enjoy things by myself.
