I wish more had played and updated their attempts more often tbh. If we can get more people interested, maybe the thiccer prize pools can entice more people to make attempts.

The thing we can do for the next one is bump the thread more aggressively and try to get more interest from big FG sponsors who just love to see speedrun attempts. I do think the FG is the key for most of us - I'm not normally a speedrunner, but the idea of some kind of prize to win is what made me at least try lol.

What I'm thinking though is it might be possible to drive up the prize pool even thicker by offering a buy in option. Like for those who want to compete, make it something fair - say 30-50 FG, then distribute the costs of entry into the prize pool. Kind of like a poker tournament


I think a format like this not only makes for a stronger lure, but keeps the players invested more intensely - since they've already got something to lose in play, as well. Just spitballing ideas atm :D I'll definitely play these any time they pop up, either way

Best advice I would give to all self dps builds is to
1)make sure merc doesn't die, he is great source of dps.
2)learn roughly when to start horking to save time (and increase gf with higher swap). For me this was usually when 60% of council was dead, but also depends on PI, dangerous aura, spawn location, etc.

The most notable improvement I saw with your run was not teleporting early - that was the most big brain, yet so stupidly obvious thing I missed LOL. You don't really save a lot of time by wasting teleport charges to get to trav and it makes so much more sense.

With that adjustment and finding a way to only use 1 amp charge per run, I think the WC build can be very good - like you said

I wonder why people didn't fight harder for the second and third place. You still get more fg than looking for Bers :D
