0.64% dmg has virtually no chance to reduce the number of nova required to kill.
See, increasing dps is not linearly increasing your clear speed.
It’s a step in thresholds.

On the other hand, the extra radius added to the outside limit of your static area is exponential. This will reduce your number of cast at all time.

So build #1 is a bit better offensively also, if you can interpret the data correctly.
They’re very close indeed.
But there’s a good advantage of using viper vs ormus in tankyness, if the faster clear speed from viper is not enough to convince someone already.


Are there mods on a 2/10 Sorc Amulet that would be worth it or is it just better to have the +1 skill from the 3/10 amulet?

Because you could have like . . . 60 total light res with 20@ and 40LR or something like that.

This is subjective at this point…
It depends on the weight you give to defensive stats.
The total effectiveness is of course better with an expensive rare/craft amy.
But you lose 1 skill.

My guess is… it’s possibly worth it if you play hc or if you are rushing for 99 where a death would slow you down, and if price is not a factor for you.
But in most cases, no. Use a 3/10.

Static radius won’t do anything either since it’s not going to change your spell rotation any and all the monsters that will end up in nova range after casting 1-2 statics will be hit by static in either case. You’re not going to skip casting any statics just because you hit a few extra monsters on the next screen. Unless you can get your static radius up to 2 screen radius, an increase is irrelevant.

Ormus and Vmagi are functionally identical builds. But ormus looks cooler so it’s better :angel:
