Private dupe methods exist. There is definitely a real underground D2 black market for real that controls the item stores.

I was a noob back when all this was going on. Just a kid trynna get some gg items, without money I had to beg and trade my way up from the few ggs I snagged. I remember when I finally got my occy soj, still one of my favorite gaming moments

Now that I code for a living, learning how items were duped / hacked has been very enjoyable. The OGs were incredible hackers, sniffing packets and trial and error to figure out how to replicate them
